Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Michail Antonio’s performance for West Ham United against Leicester City this evening.

West Ham have got the better of Leicester 4-1 at London Stadium in the Premier League.

The Foxes were reduced to 10 men in the 40th minute.

Antonio scored two goals, first in the 80th minute and then on 84 minutes.

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest star, who is a winger by trade but has been playing as a striker for West Ham, also provided an assist.

Newcastle United legend Shearer was following the match, and he has described Antonio’s performance as “brilliant”.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has also praised the 31-year-old.

Antonio was superb for West Ham last season as a striker, and against Leicester, it seemed that he has become even better.

The 31-year-old scored 10 goals and gave five assists in 24 Premier League starts last season.

The striker has already scored three goals and given two assists in two league appearances this campaign.

West Ham are aiming to challenge for the Premier League top four this season and will also have Europa League football.

Antonio will be a massive player for manager David Moyes’s side.
