Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira now has an offer on the table from Eintracht Frankfurt as he seeks a move away from North London.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Frankfurt have made a ‘formal offer’ to Arsenal for Torreira.
The Bundesliga side want to land a new midfielder with Sebastian Rode currently out injured, and Torreira is the top target.
However, Torreira prefers a move to Italy, where he played with Sampdoria before making a huge £26million move to Arsenal in the summer of 2018.
Fiorentina and Lazio both want the Uruguayan international, but neither have made concrete moves like Frankfurt have at this point.
The 25-year-old played 89 times in his first two seasons at Arsenal, but spent last term out on loan with Atletico Madrid.
After winning the La Liga title in Spain, Torreira returned to Arsenal but isn’t in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Torreira holds the number 11 shirt right now, reclaiming it from Martin Odegaard after the Norwegian’s loan spell ended.
Odegaard is now taking number 8 having returned to North London, but don’t expect to see Torreira donning his shirt in the red and white of Arsenal again.
With nine days of the transfer window to go, Arsenal do need to move Torreira on – and Frankfurt is the best possible option right now.
