Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur are now trying to sell Tanguy Ndombele.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Spurs are actively trying to offload the 24-year-old France international midfielder now.
The Telegraph have reported that Ndombele has told Tottenham that he wants to leave this summer, and that the North London club want £51.5 million as transfer fee for him.
Spurs head coach Nuno has not used the France international midfielder at all since he took over.
The 24-year-old did not feature in any pre-season friendly matches and was left out of Spurs’ opening two competitive games against Manchester City and Pacos de Ferreira.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss has also said that Ndombele will not play this weekend.
Could Tanguy Ndombele leave Tottenham?
Spurs may be trying to sell Ndombele this summer, as Romano has reported, but it is hard to see too many clubs pay the £51.5 million that the North London outfit reportedly want.
The 24-year-old also reportedly earns £200,000 per week as salary.
Ndombele has scored five goals in 54 Premier League appearances so far.
That is not exactly the kind of stats that would persuade potential buying clubs to cough up over £50 million for a 24-year-old.
