Manchester City are now open to selling reported Tottenham Hotspur target Gabriel Jesus in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.
What’s the story?
The Athletic reported yesterday (4:10pm) that City are open to selling Jesus this month.
The 24-year-old Brazil international striker is reportedly ‘unhappy’ with his limited opportunities at City last season.
Jesus would be allowed to leave the Premier League champions this summer, according to the report.
Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur
City’s reported stance is encouraging for Tottenham.
Manager Pep Guardiola publicly praised the Brazil international striker and described him as “incredibly important” and “exceptional” on the club’s official website this month.
However, from the report in The Athletic, it seems that City are open to selling Jesus.

The Daily Star reported in May interest from Tottenham in the Brazil international, who is valued at £70 million.
The Sun reported in July that the 24-year-old could replace Kane at Tottenham.
We all know how keen City are on Kane. The Citizens are planning to bid £120 million for the striker, according to The Times.

Earlier this month, The Times reported that Tottenham head coach Nuno wants to sign a new striker to play alongside Kane.
City reportedly being willing to sell Jesus opens the door for Spurs to sign the striker or use him in a part-exchange deal for Kane.
Jesus has scored 50 goals in 132 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
