Some Everton fans were unhappy with comments from James Rodriguez on his Twitch stream.

What’s the story?

Appearing live on the streaming platform, the South American claimed to not know who the Blues are playing this weekend.

The Merseysiders take on Leeds United at Elland Road this Saturday, looking to maintain their perfect record.

Rodriguez missed the opener versus Southampton due to COVID-19 issues.

He has endured a tough relationship with the Goodison Park faithful over his lack of commitment. The ace missed a 1-0 win over Wolves last season due to ‘fatigue’, news which angered the supporters.

When talking about this weekend’s fixture, Rodriguez said: “I don’t even know who Everton plays with. If you can tell me, please.”

Rodriguez disrespecting Everton with comments

Wanting to leave a club is all well and good, however, maintaining a level of respect is key.

Rodriguez has completely disrespected Everton after his comments on his Twitch stream.

Not knowing who the club you turn out for will be playing is a sign of apathy.

It is clear as day the Colombia international does not want to be at the club, and moving him on could be a good option.

However, replacing him with so little time left in the window will be difficult.

Despite his poor attitude, the attacker is supremely talented and would leave a gaping hole in Everton’s team.

Here is how some Everton fans reacted to his comments…
