Celtic fans have been lauding Joe Hart on social media for his performance in the Europa League first leg against AZ Alkmaar last night.
What’s the story?
The Bhoys ran out comfortable winners at Celtic Park, beating the Dutch side 2-0.
Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring from a Tom Rogic cross just before half-time. The Japanese ace then set up James Forrest, whose deflected strike found the net.
However, it was the former Manchester City ace who impressed many supporters.
Hart has yet to concede a goal at home during Celtic’s run in the Europa League qualifying campaign. The 34-year-old has kept a clean sheet in each of the past two games – against Jablonec and AZ Alkmaar.

Hart adds a touch of class and experience to Celtic
Adding the shot-stopper may be the move of the transfer window for the Glasgow giants.
Hart has mountains of experience and undoubtedly added a touch of class to Celtic during his performance versus AZ Alkmaar.
Last season was a horror show for the Hoops in most areas of the pitch, none more so than between the sticks. Vasilis Barkas endured a nightmare spell following his £5m move, and was never the answer.
However, new manager Ange Postecoglou has seemingly plugged the hole with the two-time Premier League winner.
And Celtic supporters seem glad about that.
Here’s how some fans on Twitter reacted to his performance…
