My Hero Academia chapter 323: Spoiler and leaks

The title of the chapter is reportedly ‘One Step’ and opens with a flashback to the students in the principal’s office before they went after Deku.

Here, it is explained about how effective the UA Barrier is and that the campus sections can split off and escape entirely underground if there is an invasion.

Kaminari says that this is something from a robot anime as Nezu explains the system some more. The underground to UA is covered in thousands of metal plates that will activate along with transportation systems if the premises are attacked by Villains.

Tokoyami comments on how the plates appear specifically to counter Shigaraki’s Decay, but the principal says that these seemingly illogical preparations could be important in the future.

Cut back to the present, where the civilians are refusing to let Deku in. Jeanist tries to talk to the crowd, stating that whilst they did initially use Deku as bait, he is still their greatest weapon.

Uraraka then tries to talk to the civilians, who are still sceptical about his mysterious power. She tells them to look at Deku and everything he has done for them, and the wider population.

However, the civilians still appear to be ignoring Uraraka as Deku thinks that this is exactly why he needs to leave – although the giant woman from chapter 310 appears hesitant.

The chapter ends with an internal monologue from Nezu, thinking about how this could lead to a birth of a hero more powerful than even All Might, before the last panel shows Uraraka screaming in the rain.
