Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke to Ben Woodburn after training on Wednesday to tell him his Anfield exit could be delayed.
That’s according to The Scotsman, who claim that Woodburn has agreed to join Scottish side Heart of Midlothian on loan until January.
Woodburn is ready to head up to Edinburgh right now, but he is being made to wait by Liverpool boss Klopp.
Klopp pulled Woodburn for talks after Liverpool on Wednesday, telling him that he may have to wait to make his move to Hearts.
Klopp is thinking of keeping Woodburn closer to the transfer deadline, seemingly feeling that he may be needed at Anfield before then.
Liverpool are trying to bring in attacking options of their own, and want to keep hold of Woodburn until they know where their transfer plans lie.

Woodburn was on the bench for Liverpool against Norwich City last week, meaning he may still have a first-team role to play in the coming days.
A loan exit still looks likely though, with Hearts keen to take him to bolster Robbie Neilson’s side until the new year.
