Gabriel Martinelli has scored a worldie in Arsenal training, it seems.
The Gunners are linked with a number of new players.
Both Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard are reportedly joining Arsenal imminently, with the latter said to have visited London Colney today.
The Real Madrid playmaker spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal and referenced Martinelli’s ability during his time in the capital.
So feats like this won’t surprise Odegaard, on the off-chance that he happened to be in the area when the 20-year-old Brazilian stuck it in the top corner.
Here’s how some Gunners fans are reacting to the footage on Twitter:
Arsenal fans would love if Martinelli could reproduce this sort of magic in a game, starting with Chelsea on Sunday.
After losing 2-0 to Brentford on the first day of the Premier League season, there’s no doubting that Mikel Arteta’s side are big underdogs against Chelsea, who re-signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this week.
The odds are certainly against Arsenal, but Martinelli has dazzled against this opposition before and ran almost the full length of the pitch to score at Stamford Bridge in 2020.
