Harry Kane is in the Tottenham Hotspur squad to face Pacos de Ferreira – but isn’t expected to play a single minute of the game.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that Kane will not be travelling to Portugal despite being named in the 25-man squad this week.
It’s claimed that this is likely because Kane’s fitness isn’t quite good enough yet, but you would then have to question just why Tottenham named him in the squad if they never intended to play him.
Kane returned to pre-season training late, and the striker is thought to be ‘frustrated’ at how the situation has been portrayed.
Kane claims he was given an extended holiday but the club didn’t communicate that publicly, leading to fans turning against him.
There are only two weeks left of the transfer window, so this saga will mercifully end soon, but who knows when we will see Kane play again, or even whose shirt he will be wearing.

Manchester City want to sign Kane, and Kane wants to go, but Daniel Levy is standing firm and keeping the striker in North London.
Nuno Espirito Santo now needs to play tomorrow’s team without Kane involved.
Son Heung-min led the line against Manchester City, so this may be a great chance to start Dane Scarlett and look for Tottenham’s next homegrown star who can bag goals long after Kane has gone.
