The details of West Ham United’s contract offer for right-back Vladimir Coufal has emerged in The Sun.
What’s the story?
David Moyes’ side have actively been trying to extend the Czech Republic international’s contract.
Various reports have emerged over the defender’s discontent at the offers made by the club. A report from Sky Sports at the end of July claimed the £5m ace was ‘let down’ by the team’s offer.
And now The Sun has released an update on the Irons’ latest offer. West Ham have offered Coufal the same wages as he is currently on, however, with an increase in bonuses. The 29-year-old currently earns £30k-per-week, according to Spotrac.
They have also allegedly given the player an extension on his current deal, which has just two years left to run.
Coufal was labelled a ‘typical David Moyes player‘ by Jamie Redknapp.

West Ham’s reported offer to Coufal is disrespectful
Usually, when a player is in form, they are rewarded for their efforts.
It makes West Ham’s offer to Coufal all the more confusing as details emerge.
Coufal was one of the best-attacking full-backs, not just for the Hammers, but in the entire Premier League.
His tally of seven assists was the joint second-most by any defender, second to his teammate Aaron Cresswell (8).
You would imagine a player of his ilk will not be short of offers should he want to leave the London Stadium.
The Hammers should be doing all they can in trying to keep the defender at the club.
