Reminiscence: Release date and plot

After a string of delays, Reminiscence is finally due to release around the world in August 2021, with the film arriving in the US and UK on August 20th.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson and Thandiwe Newton, Reminiscence tells the story of Nick Bannister, a private investigator of the mind who navigates the dark and alluring world of the past by helping clients access lost memories.

However, matters are complicated when Nick takes on a new client named Mae and he develops a dangerous obsession and uncovers a deadly conspiracy when she vanishes into thin air.

Where to watch Reminiscence

  • Reminiscence will be available to watch in both cinemas and on HBO Max when it releases on August 20th.

That’s right, film fans will have the choice of watching Reminiscence on the big screen or from the comfort of their own home.

However, in countries where the HBO Max streaming service is not available, Reminiscence will be exclusive to cinemas.

Fans in the US can check out which venues are showing Reminiscence here while UK readers can do the same here.

According to Deadline, the film will be available on HBO Max for 30 days following its release, meaning it will not be coming to the likes of Netflix or Amazon Prime Video any time soon.
