Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara could treble his wages with a move to Spartak Moscow as the Russian club ramp up their interest.

That’s according to The Scottish Sun, who claim that Spartak want to sign Kamara for £10million before the transfer deadline.

Spartak wanted to sign Kamara last summer and are now rekindling their interest in the hope of finally striking a deal.

The Russian giants are ready to open talks, seemingly sensing a window of opportunity after Rangers crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers at the hands of Malmo last week.

There is a belief that Kamara wants to live closer to his family in Finland, and heading to Moscow would certainly give Kamara an easier flight home.

Spartak want to treble Kamara’s wages if he makes the move to Russia, which would still be something of a shock given the interest in England.

Arsenal are keen on re-signing Kamara, whilst Newcastle United, Watford and West Ham United are also keen having been impressed with Kamara’s Rangers displays.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in 2023, and if Rangers don’t get a new deal sorted soon, they will be under increasing pressure to sell.

Arsenal may still be able to tempt Kamara back to North London, but it now looks like Russia is the most likely destination if the Rangers star chooses to leave Ibrox.
