Celtic had seemingly lined up a move for OH Leuven striker Thomas Henry, but it now looks like he is heading for a move to Gent.
That’s according to Het Belang Van Limburg over in Belgium, who claim that Henry is close to joining Gent despite interest from elsewhere.
Gent have just lost star striker Roman Yaremchuk, with the Ukrainian international making a big move to Benfica this summer.
Gent did, ironically, sign Vakoun Issouf Bayo from Celtic earlier this summer to bolster their striking options, but still feel they need on more.
If HBVL are right, Henry is ‘on his way’ to Gent and could complete his move imminently.
Last week, The Scottish Sun broke a story claiming that Celtic were ‘on the verge’ of winning the race for Henry in a £7million swoop.

That has gone cold though, and it looks like Gent have nipped in and beaten Celtic to the deal unless there is a late twist in the tale.
Henry, 26, may be a target man at 6ft 4in tall, but he has impressive ability on the ball and has been a clinical finisher with OH Leuven.
With 45 goals and 12 assists in 79 games for OH Leuven, Henry is now ready for the next step – but it seemingly won’t be with Celtic after all.
