John Terry has urged Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma to snub Tottenham.
The Stamford Bridge legend wrote on Instagram ‘don’t do it’ after it was suggested that Spurs want to sign the 26-year-old Chelsea player.
It had been previously suggested by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, that Zouma is on Spurs’ radar.
And whilst Terry isn’t a Chelsea player anymore, one thing you can’t take away from him is the fan inside him.
He issued this simple response to Sky Sports Instagram post on Zouma to Tottenham: “Don’t do it.”.
Spurs have already added centre-back, Cristian Romero, to their ranks this summer and it would be something if Zouma also joined.
It’s Arsenal who are the ones who usually nab Chelsea players, albeit ones who are past their prime, not their North London rivals.
But given that Chelsea are in the Champions League and Spurs are in the Europa Conference League then it has to be questioned why Zouma would make that switch.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if he listens to Terry’s advice.
And from Tottenham’s perspective, their fans will probably be more put off in signing Zouma now given Terry’s warning.
