Arsenal want to hand Reiss Nelson a new contract before sending him out on loan, with Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace keen, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The Sun have reported that Arsenal hope that Nelson will sign a new contract before going out on loan.
The Gunners do not want to sell the 21-year-old winger now or lose him in the long term.
So, Arsenal want Nelson to sign a new contract and will then allow him to move to whichever club he wants to.
As long as that club want to sign him, of course.
Palace, now managed by Arsenal legend Vieira, are keen on securing the services of the English winger on loan, according to the report.

Sensible plan
Arsenal’s plan regarding Nelson is sensible, and the winger could develop on loan at Palace.
The youngster is rated highly at Arsenal and was described as “a special player” by manager Mikel Arteta in The London Evening Standard in March 2020.

Nelson is only 21, and there is every chance that he could develop into a top-class player in the coming years.
Vieira was appointed the new Palace manager this summer, and if the Arsenal legend is keen on the winger, then he must have a plan for him and rates him highly.
A loan deal will suit all three parties.
