Ivan Toney told Premier League Productions that Arsenal are a team that ‘do make a mistake’.
The Brentford striker feels that Arsenal’s ‘weakness’ is if they are pressed ‘high’ up the pitch then they are prone to an error.
Brentford comfortably beat Arsenal 2-0 on Friday night, and even though Toney didn’t get on the scoresheet, he did walk away with the Man of the Match award.
This is the brutal verdict Toney delivered about Arsenal after their defeat on the opening night of the new Premier League season.
“I think obviously the way Arsenal play, it’s clear to see, they like to play with the ball and its possession-based football,” said Toney.
“But I feel the weakness is that if you press them high then they do make a mistake.
“I felt they made a few mistakes but we didn’t punish them on those chances.
“But I felt with the chances that we did have we took full advantage.”

Who would want to be Mikel Arteta now?
Many would think that it’s a matter of time before Arteta is given the chop because there is no light at the end of his tunnel, or so it seems.
The younger players, such as Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney are showcasing how it’s done.
But the mess is just too big at the Emirates and, added with Arteta’s inexperience, it is making matters worse for the Spanish coach.
Arsenal have never won the Premier League title under the ownership of Stan Kroenke, and in truth, if he remains in charge, they never will.
