
Premier League football is back, and it’s back with a bang.
The first game of the season was an absolute stormer. Brentford upset Arsenal in what was a great game for the neutrals, and we’re sure that there will have been many Leeds fans watching with a vested interest.
Indeed, this game may have been about two London clubs, but two of the Elland Road faithful’s former favourites also appeared.
Ben White turned out for his Arsenal debut, while Pontus Jansson captained Brentford, and it’s fair to say Jansson got the last laugh.
Jansson was making his Premier League debut, and despite the fact he left west Yorkshire two years ago, Leeds fans had an eye on how he got on.
It’s fair to say United fans were impressed by Jansson, and they were particularly enamoured by his contribution to the Bees’ second goal, holding Bernd Leno from a long-throw in a move that perfectly encapsulated why Leeds fans loved him so much during his time at the club.
