Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing a photo of Tanguy Ndombele from inside the dressing room.
What’s the story?
Well, the 24-year-old was being filmed by Serge Aurier, before the Ivorian uploaded the video to Instagram.
It showed Ndombele messing around, pretending to be captain with the armband on, before Aurier and the Frenchman burst out laughing.
However, all jokes aside, Ndombele looks much, much slimmer in the footage.
There have been question marks over the midfielder’s fitness, while in 2020, he was even called overweight by Emmanuel Petit.
Now, the 7-cap France international looks so much leaner – as one fan below states, he looks like a marathon runner.
What does Nuno do with Tanguy Ndombele?
Firstly, it’s hugely encouraging to see Ndombele in good shape.
However, there are still plenty of question marks about the £53.8m man.
Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t given him a single second of action in pre-season, although Ndombele has clearly been doing fitness work behind the scenes.
The Athletic reveal that he was fit to face Arsenal in the latest friendly, only for Nuno to leave him out of the squad entirely.
It’s a real mystery, but the £200,000-a-week man has far too much talent for Nuno to exile him – he can be a game changer on his day.
