*WARNING: Spoilers ahead for The Kissing Booth 3*
Since the first Kissing Booth movie arrived on Netflix in 2018, the series has seen Elle Evans go through her fair share of twists and turns.
That’s still the case in the newly-released Kissing Booth 3 as Elle is left with the agonising choice of which college to attend, either Berkeley with best friend Lee or Harvard with boyfriend Noah.
However, in the run-up to the film’s release, the internet has been abuzz with speculation that there could be another twist in Elle’s decision, with many pondering the possibility that she could even end up becoming pregnant.
The Kissing Booth 3: Release date and plot
The Kissing Booth 3 arrived on Netflix on August 11th, 2021 and is the final instalment in The Kissing Booth trilogy.
Following the events of the previous two films, The Kissing Booth 3 takes place during the summer before Elle heads to college but she has still yet to decide on whether to go to Berkeley with her best friend or Harvard with her boyfriend.
It’s an agonising choice as she risks breaking the hearts of both Lee and Noah who have been a huge part of her life since childhood.
However, before she makes up her mind, Elle wants to enjoy one last summer of fun at the Flynn family’s idyllic beach house.
Does Elle get pregnant in The Kissing Booth 3?
- No, Elle does not get pregnant in The Kissing Booth 3.
Prior to the film’s release, there was plenty of speculation from fans on social media that there would be a twist in Elle’s decision on which college to attend.
A number of commentators on YouTube even touted the possibility that Elle could become pregnant.
The reason behind this speculation is that it would force Elle to delay going to college altogether and therefore not disappointing either Noah or Lee.
However, Elle does not become pregnant in The Kissing Booth 3 itself, putting a dampener on the pre-film speculation.
But as the various commentators speculated, there is a twist to the tale.
What actually happens to Elle?
- Elle decides to study at USC instead of either Berkeley or Harvard.
While Elle spends most of The Kissing Booth 3 weighing up her decision to choose Berkeley or Harvard, in the end, she chooses neither.
After a heart-to-heart conversation with Mrs Flynn, Elle is inspired to make her own choice of which college to attend.
Instead of siding with either Lee or Noah, she forges her own path and applies to study video game design at USC (University of Southern California) instead.
The Kissing Booth 3 ends with a six-year flash-forward and shows that Elle has graduated college and is now working as a video game designer.
The Kissing Booth 3 is available to stream now on Netflix after releasing on August 11th, 2021.
