After a slow start, and the pain of the Harry Kane saga, things are starting to look up for Tottenham in the transfer market.

Fabio Paratici has done superbly to secure the signings of Bryan Gil and Cristian Romero, who will surely take Spurs up a level.

Then, things got even better when Tottenham agreed a fee with Inter Milan for South American marksman Lautaro Martinez.

Now, Watford speedster Ismaila Sarr is said to be in Tottenham’s sights, someone who would also be a fantastic addition in N17.

Gary Lineker rates Ismaila Sarr highly

Writing on Twitter, Gary Lineker once revealed that he thinks Sarr could become a star of the future.

You can see the BBC Match of the Day host’s tweet in full below.

We share the same opinion. Despite Watford taking Sarr into the Championship for a season, he has looked menacing since his £40m move to England.

Just ask Liverpool, who saw their 18-game winning streak ended by Sarr’s six-minute double in February 2020.

Speaking of Liverpool, the Reds have a player Sarr loves.

Speaking to Watford’s official website, Sarr confessed his love for his Senegal teammate Sadio Mané.

The 23-year-old said he watches videos of Liverpool’s No.10 to see how he accelerates and dribbles with the ball.

Sarr said: “As I have said before, Sadio Mané is not only a Senegal teammate of mine but he is my inspiration and my idol.

“I watch lots of videos of him to see how he does things like accelerating and dribbling, and for me he is the best player in the world.”

On that note, you could say that Watford have Mane 2.0 in the making.

If Tottenham poached him from Vicarage Road, a wing partnership of Sarr and Gil either side of Son or Martinez would be a mouthwatering prospect.
