Wolves have reportedly reignited their interest in Valencia talent Kang-in Lee.

According to Wednesday’s print edition of AS (p20: 11/08), Wolves are again keen on signing the South Korean international.

As per the report, Valencia are open to selling the 20-year-old playmaker if the right offer comes in.

Lee was part of the South Korea Olympic squad. This summer, the Asian nation made it to the quarter-finals in Tokyo.

The midfielder is one of the most exciting talents coming out of Asia, and the youngster is an asserted first-team player with Valencia.

However, the La Liga side’s financial problems are notorious in Spain. And top prospects at the club, like Lee, are available for sale.

As reported by Football Espana, Valencia could even allow the South Korean star to leave for a cut-price this window. The Spanish side did something similar last year with Ferran Torres, who joined Manchester City for cheap.

Lee could signal a new era at Wolves

With Lee being compared to David Silva as per Total Football Analysis, it’s easy to see why Wolves are interested in the playmaker.

A complete dribbler with a good amount of pace, the youngster has the traits needed for Premier League football.

Indeed, with Wolves heading in a new direction under Bruno Lage, Lee could be a symbol of this new era.

With the Korean star one of the most exciting youngsters in Europe, the Molineux side could make a real statement by landing the 20-year-old winger.
