TikTok video of neighbourhood ‘Karen’

In early August 2021, a TikTok user named Ambrosia (@tizzybizzy92) shared footage captured on her front porch camera showing a nosey neighbour complaining about her house decor.

After greeting the homeowner, the neighbour began to express her dislike for a particular ‘Tigger Flag’ hanging on her porch.

Wondering what the seemingly triggering flag looks like?

Shown on the flag is the fictional character named Tigger, originally introduced in the 1928 story collection The House at Pooh Corner, from the sequel to the 1926 book Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne.

Printed on a blue background, Tigger is shown to be picking daisies.

The original viral video currently has over 10.3 million views along with 1.1 million likes in total and a comment section full of laughter and outrage!

Twitter reacts to the Tigger Flag meaning

Once the video gained masses of online attention, it began trending on Twitter as users devised potential meanings behind the Tigger Flag.

Some viewers officially referred to the decor as a flag representing POC (people of colour), after watching the neighbourhood ‘Karen’ get upset over an opinion.

Similarly, Travon Free expressed his views on the timeline by touching on people’s relationship with the ‘police and America’s historical legacy of white supremacy.’

Others supported the family with the Tigger Flag by purchasing their own version to annoy other ‘Karens’ that walk by.

Viewers proposed that more people should now buy flags containing fictional characters.

Many expressed their confusion surrounding the strange reaction to the flag.

While Tigger began trending online, viewers were shocked as they realised it was due to complaints regarding a flag.

Funny references can also be found throughout Twitter.

What has happened since the viral vid?

Since the neighbourhood ‘Karen’ made her dislike for the flag apparent, she carried out a so-called ‘drive-by apology’.

Ambrosia took to TikTok to explain that her neighbour must have heard about the viral video online as she drove past the house to apologise.
