‘We’ll buy him back’: Some Liverpool fans laud performance of £12m player Edwards sold

Liverpool fans have lauded Harry Wilson for his debut performance for Fulham during their Championship encounter on Sunday.

Fulham are now managed by the ex-Everton boss, Marco Silva, and he secured a 1-1 draw against Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough in their Championship opener yesterday.

This summer, Liverpool’s transfer guru, Michael Edwards, managed to secure £12 million for Wilson’s services (Sky Sports) and he is already paying his new club back.

Wilson was at his lively best, and as he has showcased in many Championship games before that he is deadly outside of the area.

That was proven at Craven Cottage because it was his left-footed striker that put Fulham ahead, before a late second-half goal from the North East outfit meant they had to share the points.

But Liverpool supporters liked what they saw from their academy product, who will be hoping his move to Fulham can help him rebuild that pathway back to the Premier League.

As many players outside of Jurgen Klopp’s XI find, it’s pretty difficult breaking into that side, especially for a youngster coming through the ranks.

But this is where Wilson can prove his former employers wrong and showcase that he is, in the long run, worthy of being a top-performing Premier League player.
