Everton have shown interest in Manchester United forward Anthony Martial and so have Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The Sun are reporting that Everton want to sign Martial from Premier League rivals United in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham are also interested in the France international forward.
However, according to the report, neither Everton nor Tottenham have followed up their ‘initial interest’ in the 25-year-old.
Inter Milan are now looking into the possibility of signing Martial, as they are about to sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.
The United forward earns £200,000 per week as salary and is valued at £50 million, according to the report.
Anthony Martial to Everton?
Martial has had a mixed time at United so far, but the Frenchman is a very good player who can play out wide or as the main striker upfront.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the main striker at Everton at the moment, but manager Rafael Benitez could do with another good option, even though Moise Kean is still at the club and Richalison can also play centrally.
Martial has scored 55 goals in 167 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The forward scores goals, links up well with his teammates, is quick and knows the Premier League.
However, Martial’s reported salary of £200,000 does seem a lot for Everton.
