Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that AS Roma are interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette.
What’s the story?
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are interested in signing Lacazette from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The Italian club, now managed by former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho, are showing an interest in Lacazette.
However, Roma have two problems.
Firstly, the France international striker wants to move to a Champions League club if he is to leave Arsenal.
Secondly, the relationship between Arsenal and Roma is at an all-time low because the Italian club could not meet the Gunners’ demands over Granit Xhaka, with talks dragging on for weeks.
What are Arsenal fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans are not particularly sold on the idea that Roma could sign Lacazette.
Well, some of them anyway.
They are not convinced that Roma would pay what Arsenal would want for Lacazette.
As reported by The Guardian last month, the Serie A club wanted Switzerland international midfielder Xhaka, who himself was keen on the move.
However, the two clubs could not agree on a transfer fee.
