The American soap The Bold and the Beautiful has returned Kimberlin Brown’s character Sheila Carter to the scene after a three-year hiatus.
The once villainous woman served as a regular character in the soap and also appeared in the sister show The Young and the Restless. The character has not appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful since 2018, but the character is ready for another comeback.
Who is Sheila Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful?
Sheila Carter is known as one of the most popular soap opera villains, tied to her relentless conflict with Lauren Fenmore who nearly died at the hands of Sheila many times.
The character also underwent plastic surgery during the soap, when acting duties were passed over to Michelle Stafford. After an impressive reversal, Brown resumed her role in 2017.
The last arc that featured Sheila involved her aggressive rivalry with Quinn (Rena Sofer), which saw chaos erupt in the Forrester mansion. Sheila did not succeed at winding her way back into the life of her ex-husband Eric (John McCook) and the Forresters were not ready to make amends either. Sheila subsequently went off the radar to work on herself, as explained by Brown.
Sheila’s Returning Role
Sheila Carter’s return to The Bold and Beautiful will see her become even more entwined in the family drama, as she is revealed to be Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) biological mother. Fans will also realize that this makes her Hayes’ grandmother, after Finn married Steffy Forrester (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood).
The character’s return promises to stir up even more drama within the Forrester family, and Sheila is also likely to ignite difficult times for Finn and Steffy as newlyweds.
With Sheila confirmed as Finn’s birth mother, the Forresters will have a hard time keeping her away from the family this time and there could even be a second chance for Sheila and Eric now that he has broken up with Quinn.
