Cuorirosso Blu are reporting that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and David Moyes’s West Ham United are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Takehiro Tomiyasu now.

It is being reported that both Arsenal and West Ham are ‘testing the ground’ for Bologna central defender Tomiyasu.

Calciomercato.it reported last week that Tottenham have reached an agreement in principle with Bologna over the transfer of the Japan international, who can also operate as a right-back.

The Athletic are reporting that the 22-year-old is expected to switch to Spurs this month once the Tokyo Olympics have finished.

Are Tottenham Hotspur facing a threat?

Reports in Calciomercato.it and The Athletic suggest that Tottenham have pretty much wrapped up the signing of Tomiyasu.

However, you can never take anything for certain until and unless the player has signed on the dotted line.

Arsenal and West Ham reportedly showing interest is a headache for Tottenham.

Clubs making late swoops for players during transfer windows is not uncommon.

However, well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Matt Hayes’s YouTube channel last month that the youngster’s “dream” is to join Spurs.

That should encourage Spurs fans.

Tomiyasu scored two goals in 31 Serie A matches for Bologna last season, and scored one goal and gave three assists in 29 league games in 2019-20.
