The television personality hosted Beauty and the Geek and produced several game shows such as The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal.

In 2019, he joined Sony Pictures Television, where he started working as a co-executive producer of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, alongside Jimmy Kimmel.

While Mike has worked behind-the-scenes of hit game series, he is now a frontrunner to take over as host of Jeopardy.

He is in talks to become Jeopardy’s next host

According to Variety, Mike is in advance talks to become the next permanent presenter of Jeopardy.

A Sony Pictures spokesperson said that there were ongoing discussions with several other candidates at the time.

But a source close to the situation said that Richards’ deal is not guaranteed to go ahead as show’s producers keep discussions with other people too. Nevertheless, Mike remains the frontrunner, the source has added.
