Dharmesh Sheth has told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (03/08/21 at 5:10 pm) that Chelsea will extend Tammy Abraham’s contract before possibly loaning him out to either Aston Villa or Arsenal.
The Sky reporter has claimed that Chelsea’s preferred option is to sell the £40 million-rated player, but if they cannot do that then they will push for the above option.
Abraham is familiar with putting on the Claret and Blue colours because he thrived at Aston Villa during the 2018/19 season by helping them earn promotion from the Championship.
Whilst it seems as though every summer, a Chelsea player is being touted to move to the Emirates, at least this time the player is under the age of 30.
Nonetheless, Sheth shared the situation regarding Abraham’s future at Stamford Bridge and on what ground he could be loaned out on.
“Aston Villa are interested in signing the Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham on loan,” said Sheth. “Arsenal also thought to be interested in taking Abraham on loan.
“As far as Chelsea are concerned, the feeling is that they would prefer a sale and the valuation is around £40 million.
“The contract situation as far as Abraham is concerned is that his current deal is up in 2023, hence why Chelsea would prefer that sale.
“However, if a loan is a deal they can only do in this summer transfer, it’s likely that they would look to extend Abraham’s contract by a further year, so if he does go on a loan, do well, then he would maintain his value or perhaps convince Thomas Tuchel he still has a future.”

Well, could Abraham be making the short trip across London this summer?
He was at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend when he was scoring the winning goal during Chelsea’s pre-season win over the Gunners.
Or could the penalty-box poacher be making a return to where he has thrived most in his career so far?
Aston Villa are seemingly on the verge of selling Jack Grealish to Manchester City for £100 million, so the Midlands club’s already rich owners just got richer and a permanent transfer might be on the cards.
