Whilst Chelsea chase that all-important number nine ahead of the new Premier League season, Spurs are trying to keep hold of one of their own – Harry Kane – with Manchester City lurking in the background.
The Spurs faithful have made it clear that if Lukaku is worth or is signed for the price quoted then their star man is worth a lot more.
The Independent claim that Lukaku is open to returning to Stamford Bridge if his former club and Inter can agree on a £130 million deal.
Meanwhile, across London, Kane isn’t anywhere to be seen as he tries to force a move to Manchester City.
Jack Grealish is on the verge of moving to Manchester City for £100 million, according to Sky Sports.
So, if all of these deals do go through and Kane is still a Spurs player then it begs the question as to how much the England captain is then worth?
Kane produced the best season of his professional career last time out – top scorer and assist-maker for a team that finished seventh in the Premier League table.
Yes, Lukaku may have won Serie A in Italy and Grealish helped his boyhood club progress even further, but from an individual standpoint, Kane blew everyone out of the water.
