Arsenal central defender Gabriel has told Leeds United winger Raphinha on Instagram that he is a big fan of the Elland Road star.
Over the weekend, Leeds winger Raphinha made a post on Instagram, as shown below.
When translated from Portuguese, the message reads: “Just do it! Don’t be afraid… They are going to criticise you in every way, whether you are doing it or not.”
Arsenal defender and fellow Brazilian Gabriel has shown his appreciation of the 24-year-old by publicly saying that he is his big fan.
Gabriel responded to the post: “I am your big fan.”
Raphinha joined Leeds from Rennes last summer for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £17 million.
The 24-year-old was an instant hit in the Premier League and became a star for Leeds rightaway.
The Leeds no.10 made 26 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the West Yorkshire club last season.
Raphinha scored six goals and gave nine assists in those games.
Gabriel is an Arsenal player and a club rival of Raphinha, and him publicly saying that he is a big fan of the winger shows just how good the Leeds star is.
Leeds did extremely well in the Premier League last season, and perhaps Marcelo Bielsa’s side will challenge for the Europa League places in 2021-22.
As for Arsenal, the Gunners will be keen on finishing in the Premier League top four.
