Tottenham Hotspur are now considering making a move for Liverpool target and Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to The Daily Mail.

What’s the story?

The Daily Mail are reporting today that Tottenham want to sign Traore from Wolves in the summer transfer window.

New Spurs head coach Nuno worked with Traore at the Wanderers, and one can understand why he would want to work with the winger again.

Tottenham are considering making a bid for the 25-year-old.

Wolves are open to selling the Spain international winger, but they want £45 million as transfer fee, according to the report.

Liverpool bid claim

This report in The Daily Mail comes just days it was claimed that Liverpool are planning to make a £30 million offer for Traore.

It was The Daily Star who reported on July 27 that the Reds are set to bid £30 million for the former Aston Villa winger, described as “unstoppable” by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on Sky Sports in March.

Competing for Adama Traore

Wolves being reportedly open to selling Traore means that the next four or so weeks will be very interesting.

With Liverpool and Tottenham reportedly considering bids for the 25-year-old, it is likely that the winger will be sold by Wolves.

Traore is one of the better wingers in the Premier League and would make Spurs or Liverpool stronger.

Nuno having worked with the former Middlesbrough star at Wolves could give Spurs an advantage, but Liverpool will challenge for the Premier League title next season and will also compete in the Champion League.

Traore has scored seven goals in 140 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
