Fabio Paratici has certainly not got the Tottenham Hotspur fans’ backing to offload Oliver Skipp before the Premier League season starts.

Earlier this month it was reported by Football London that Spurs would be keeping the 20-year-old midfielder as part of the senior squad this season.

Skipp dazzled on loan at Norwich City last term, helping them to promotion back to the top flight.

But on Friday, The Athletic claimed that Tottenham may yet loan out their academy gem in quite an unexpected u-turn.

Despite only having 15 Premier League games for the Lilywhites, Skipp is hugely popular among fans of the North London club.

And here’s how some reacted to the possibility of loaning him out again:

Trust

Tottenham fans clearly want to see Skipp involved in Nuno Espirito Santo’s senior side.

But Paratici and Nuno have to be trusted here. The latter is seeing the youngster every single day on the training field and if the Italian managing director can sign a more experienced player, it won’t harm Spurs.

The supporters haven’t seen any academy player really do bits in the first team since Harry Kane emerged as one of the world’s finest goalscorers.

And Skipp might be the next one at some point in the future, but for now, he’s only a 20-year-old with less than 20 Premier League appearances under his belt and Tottenham will be aiming to get back in the Champions League next season.
