Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Duncan Castles has suggested that Tottenham could get involved in the race to sign Adama Traore this summer.
The Spaniard is reportedly on the market, and he’s been linked to the likes of Liverpool and Leeds United, but with the winger reportedly pushing to leave Molineux, Castles believes that Spurs could be involved in the race.
Indeed, Castles says that Nuno loved working with Adama and he wouldn’t be against the idea of re-uniting with the Spaniard.
What’s been said?
“Pay a little bit of attention to what Tottenham do in that area of the field. Nuno Espirito Santo was impressed and enjoyed working with him, and I don’t think would be against working with Adama again if the opportunity was to arise, and obviously, Tottenham, as we keep talking about, have the potential to take a lot of income in this window,” Castles said.
The journalist then later on went on to speak about the fact Spurs could indeed be looking for a new winger.
“Tottenham are also open to offers for Lucas Moura, so there could be a vacancy on the right side, we’ve told you that they have an interest in Jesus Corona from Porto, one option for that position, but I think we should wait and see where Tottenham go with this.”

Makes sense
Nuno having a look at Adama Traore as a potential option makes a lot of sense.
He’s a player he knows very well and with the Spaniard reportedly looking for a move, the timing couldn’t be better.
The only problem is that Castles said earlier in the podcast that Traore wants to move to a Champions League club, which, of course, Tottenham aren’t at the moment, but with a club of their stature, it shouldn’t be hard to convince him that they’ll be back there soon.
This looks like a situation to keep an eye on, and Traore would certainly be an exciting addition to this Tottenham team. After all, Jurgen Klopp did once call him ‘unplayable’.
