Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999’ is almost here and the newest teaser has made it to the top Twitter buzz given the excitement of the K-pop fans around the world. The survival reality show is all set to air from August with a promising lineup and a star-studded list of judges including Sunmi and Tiffany Young.
The lineup of ‘Girls Planet 999’ consists of 99 multinational contestants from China, Japan, and South Korea. The latest teaser shows that all the contestants have been divided into three groups C, J, and P as they gear up for the intense competition to begin! Lineup of Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999’ explored
A number of popular K-pop trainees will be participating in the K-pop survival show. One of the most popular contestants of the show is the South Korean singer and actress CLC’s Yujin. The 24-year-old K-pop star dubbed as ‘heavenly idol’ will be a part of the South Korean lineup.

Mnet’s Girls Planet 999 teaser controversy
The latest teaser of ‘Girls Planet 999’ has created a new set of controversies where Twitter users slammed Mnet for not showing respect to veteran idol Yujin. In the teaser, Chinese contestant Fu Ya Ning boldly challenges CLC’s Yujin stating, “We go up! But you don’t.”
The teaser also reveals host Yeo Jin Goo informing the participants that the groups will be divided into units of three, consisting of each member from K, J, and C group. “Either all of the three members will make it to the next round,” he says, “or all three will be eliminated together.”
Social media users have pointed out that CLC’s Yujin deserves better and should not be disrespected. A user said, “I did not just see some random trainee disrespect clc and helicopter in front of yujin, her senior and a member of that underrated but VERY talented girl group. like wheres the empowerment and respect there???? its a no for me.”
Another similar tweet read, “Girl just disrespect yujin without knowing yujin is way more talented than than she know. Girl sit down and watch yourself on the top 99.”
