Jose Enrique has suggested in Empire of the Kop that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should not pay £30 million for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore.

Adama Traore rumour

The Daily Star reported this week that Liverpool are ready to make a bid for Wolves winger Traore.

Liverpool manager Klopp is a big fan of the 25-year-old and wants to sign him for the Reds.

The former Premier League champions will reportedly make an offer of £30 million for the former Aston Villa winger.

What Jose Enrique says

Former Liverpool star Enrique has praised Traore and is appreciated of his attributes.

However, the Sky Sports and Stadium Astro pundit has suggested that Traore is not worth £30 million.

Enrique wrote in Empire of the Kop: “The Daily Star report Liverpool could be set to ready a move for Adama Traore, but I don’t think it makes a lot of sense.

“I don’t think he’s an upgrade on Shaqiri, but maybe he could bring a new dimension to the team because of the type of player he is. He’s quick, he’s strong, but I don’t think he’s better than, let’s say, Diogo Jota.

“But Adama, as a squad player, I would take him at Liverpool – not for the £30 million the Star are quoting, but he can come on for the last 20-30 minutes and offer attributes on-one in the world has, that’s the reality.”

Should Liverpool bid for Adama Traore?

Liverpool do have a good attacking unit, but every team can improve.

Traore is quick, very direct, can dribble and can run at defenders.

The winger would make Liverpool more potent and more threatening in attack.

A transfer fee of £30 million is not really much.

Yes, Traore could end up being a squad player at Liverpool, but he would be a brilliant option to have for manager Klopp.

Traore has scored seven goals in 140 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
