Danny Rose has claimed that Mousa Dembele was ‘the most skilful player’ he played with at Tottenham, as he told Ben Foster’s Cycling GK channel.

The former left-back, who is now at Watford, also shared that Kyle Walker was the ‘fastest player’ and Harry Kane, to the surprise of no one, was the best trainer at the club.

Rose left Tottenham this summer after his contract expired, and he now begins a new chapter at Vicarage Road, where he will be hoping to help Watford re-build their Premier League status.

Nonetheless, Rose was asked a couple of quick-fire questions from his fellow teammate, Ben Foster, as he labelled Dembele as ‘awesome’.

The fastest player at Tottenham: “Kyle Walker,” responded Rose without any hesitation.

Rose was then asked who is the most skilful player he has played with to which he responded: “Mousa Dembele. He’s brilliant. Awesome.”

On the biggest prankster: “Serge Aurier, the right back.”

On the best trainer: “Harry Kane, hands down.”

It has been two years since Dembele left Spurs for £11 million to play in the Chinese Super League (Guardian) and it’s fair to say that he has been a huge miss.

Injuries hit the Belgian really hard and meant that he could no longer compete in the hard-hitting and physical-draining Premier League.

But his bite, brute strength, drive, forward-thinking nature and brilliant close control has been mightily missed by those in Tottenham colours.

However, now Spurs fans will be hoping the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele can relive the magic that Dembele and his old partner in crime, Victor Wanyama, used to bring to the North London table.
