La Liga expert, Alvaro Montero, has compared Tottenham’s new signing, Bryan Gil, to Arsenal legend, Jose Antonio Reyes, as he told Sky Sports.
The former winger, who sadly passed away in 2019, moved to North London from Sevilla in 2004, just like Gil has done now, but in Tottenham colours.
Tottenham’s forward line needed refreshing and they have some belief that they can move forward with their new 20-year-old recruit.
Montero shared what Gil’s playing style is like, as he compared the youngster to the late great, Reyes.
“He’s a very good player,” said Montero. “He’s very quick. He plays very well in attack as a left-footer.
“He is one of those players like Jose Antonio Reyes when he arrived from Sevilla to Arsenal.
“One of those players that dribbles, very quick and I think the Premier League will be perfect for him.
“As far as I know, Sergio Reguilon recommends the signing of Bryan Gil because he knows him from the Spanish side, U21s and U18s. It’s a very good signing, for sure.”

Well, Gil will be hoping his creative talents will be matched up alongside Harry Kane rather than against him next season.
The quick-thinking playmaker, who is currently competing at the Olympics in Japan, would settle in a lot easier with Kane playing up top.
But it’s going to be interesting to see how Nuno Espirito Santo uses Gil in his system because he does have a preference to play wing-backs, inside of out-and-out wide players.
