Crystal Palace face competition from Sevilla for Ozan Kabak, with the La Liga side seeking a potential replacement for Jules Kounde.
According to Sport Bild via Bulinews, the UEFA Champions League club have expressed an interest in signing the Turkish centre-back.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Palace’s London rivals Chelsea are eager to sign Sevilla star Kounde this window.
As per the Guardian, Schalke are asking for £12m for the 23-year-old defender who spent half of last season on loan at Liverpool. The Reds, however, declined to not make the transfer permanent.
The 2. Bundesliga side are keen to sell this summer following their relegation to the second-tier last season.
Palace target Kabak is one of Schalke’s most attractive assets, with the defender impressing whilst at Liverpool last campaign.
Indeed, Palace have made a slew of impressing signings this summer. New manager Patrick Vieira has a behemoth of a task of replacing multiple first-team players ahead of the new season next month.
But the Frenchman has so far delivered. Marc Guehi and Michael Olise have joined the club, whilst Joachim Andersen is close to becoming an Eagle as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
With Gary Cahill rejecting a new contract as per the Sun via London News Online, a third centre-back, such as Kabak, could be smart business from Palace.
