Some West Ham fans on social media have been reacting after hearing they’re looking into a move for Manchester United defender Phil Jones.

Unfortunately, Hammers fans haven’t had the best of reactions after hearing they want Jones.

Sadly, these days Jones isn’t viewed as a talented defender, he’s way down the pecking order at Manchester United and due to numerous injury problems he’s hardly played any football.

For some reason, Jones isn’t respected by the wider footballing world, but perhaps that’s a little harsh on a man who is an England international and a Premier League winner.

At the end of the day, Jones still has a lot of talent. After all, you don’t stay on United’s books for a decade unless you’ve got something about you, and while he’s had a ropey couple of years, he would still be able to offer something to West Ham.

Let’s not forget that West Ham fans weren’t all on board with the idea of Jesse Lingard joining the club in January, but there’s a case to make that he was the best player in the league after joining the Hammers in the winter.

Regardless, West Ham supporters aren’t keen on Jones, and here’s what they’ve been saying on social media…
