According to The Athletic, John Terry helped Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham with his heading during his loan spell at Aston Villa, who now reportedly want him to return to Villa Park.

Abraham spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa from Chelsea.

Terry was appointed the Villa assistant head coach of Villa in October 2018.

The Athletic have reported this morning that former Chelsea central defender Terry worked with Abraham to improve his heading.

Chelsea legend Terry scored 41 goals in 492 appearances in the Premier League and was known for scoring headers.

Terry stepped down from his role at Villa yesterday.

Back to Aston Villa?

Abraham scored 26 goals and gave three assists in 40 Championship matches in 2018-19 to help Villa win promotion to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old could make only 12 starts in the Premier League last season and has been linked with moves away from Chelsea.

The Express reported over the weekend that Villa are among the clubs interested in the England international.

Chelsea reportedly want £40 million to sell Abraham and are also willing to send the 23-year-old out on loan.

Ollie Watkins did well for Villa last season, but if the Villans are to kick on and go to the next level, then another striker like Abraham would be massive.
