Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to a clip of Neco Williams in pre-season training.

The 20-year-old could be seen making a last-ditch tackle on Divock Origi who was through on goal.

Liverpool fans praised Williams for his lung-busting efforts, but it’s what happened after that also caught the supporters eyes.

Virgil van Dijk, alongside a few other Liverpool players, was watching the action from the sidelines.

As soon as Williams made the tackle, Van Dijk put his hand up to congratulate him.

But Williams didn’t see the towering centre-back to his left and instead ‘aired’ his fellow teammate.

Liverpool fans joked that he shouldn’t do that again, whilst others are urging him to continue working hard.

There’s no doubt that Trent Alexander-Arnold is Liverpool main man in that right-back spot.

But Williams will be hoping Jurgen Klopp will offer him more game time than previously because the Welshman is craving those minutes.

Impressing in pre-season will help him a lot, as Liverpool supporters reacted to a clip of him in training:
