The past year has been a chaotic one for movie releases with many films moving online or having their release dates delayed.

G.I. Joe prequel Snake Eyes is one such film to have its release date moved but now, in July 2021, the all-action movie is finally due to arrive.

Snake Eyes: Release date and plot

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is due to arrive in the US on July 23rd, 2021 while the film has multiple release dates depending on the country in question. Here in the UK for example, Snake Eyes is slated to release on August 18th.

Set before the events of previous G.I. Joe stories, Snake Eyes follows the titular character, a tenacious loner, who is welcomed into the mysterious Arashikage clan after saving their heir apparent.

However, Snake Eyes’ rise through the ranks is not an easy one as secrets from his past could prove dangerous on his path to becoming the ninja warrior we know, love and fear.

Where to watch Snake Eyes

  • Snake Eyes will be available exclusively in theatres when it releases.

That’s right, if you want to experience the G.I. Joe prequel as soon as possible, you’ll have to venture out to the cinema in order to watch.

Upon its release in the US on July 23rd, Snake Eyes will NOT be available to stream on any of the major streaming services or via any digital VOD stores.

Starring as the titular warrior in Snake Eyes will be Henry Golding, a Malaysian actor best known for his appearances in Crazy Rich Asians and Last Christmas.
