Lil Nas X has dropped the video of ‘Industry Baby’ which includes an important campaign for the singer and rapper.
The ‘Montero’ singer has released his third single of the year, pairing up with rapper and guest star Jack Harlow for the music video.
Produced by Kanye West and Take a Daytrip, Lil Nas X and Jack take on the role of two prisoners in Montero State Prison.
The video includes a link to a bail fund – here’s more about the campaign and how to donate.
What is the bail fund for?
Lil Nas X has launched the ‘Bail X Fund’ with the release of the music video of ‘Industry Baby’.
The singer has joined forces with The Bail Project to raise funds for Black Americans which can pay their bails.
In a statement on the organisation’s website, Lil Nas X explains:
“Music is the way I fight for liberation. It’s my act of resistance. But I also know that true freedom requires real change in how the criminal justice system works. Starting with cash bail.
“This isn’t just theoretical for me. It’s personal. I know the pain that incarceration brings to a family. And I know the disproportionate impact that cash bail has on Black Americans.”
The statement adds that Lil Nas X hopes his campaign will encourage fellow artists and people across the country to join him on the mission.
How to donate
You will find a donation link from the official YouTube video of ‘Industry Baby’.
The direct link is on the right-hand side of the clip and says ‘Lil Nas X’s Bail X Fund with the The Bail Project’.

On their website, The Bail Project explains that they have posted over $47M in free bail assistance to over 17,000 low-income people across the United States.
