Tottenham Hotspur are set to secure their first signing of the summer with Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on the verge of arriving.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Gollini completed the first part of his medical in Italy on Wednesday.
They add that he will finalise the second part of his medical this morning and then fly straight to London to tie up the deal.
Tottenham are taking goalkeeper Gollini on loan for the season, with a purchase option of £13million.
Tottenham can extend that deal for £2.6million, but the deal will become permanent after 20 appearances for Spurs.
The deal is now imminent with Fabio Paratici using his Italian connections to land a deal, and a video has even emerged ahead of Gollini’s move.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to share Gollini’s three-word reaction having started his medical – ‘I’m so happy’.
The 26-year-old will head to Tottenham as cover and competition for Hugo Lloris, with the hope of being his long-term heir.
Gollini has had spells in England with Manchester United and Aston Villa, so will hope this is third time lucky in search of success in the UK.
