Speaking on Tottenham’s YouTube channel, Dane Scarlett and Oliver Skipp have been speaking about Erik Lamela in Tottenham training.
The Argentine, affectionately known as ‘Coco’, by his teammates, is known to be a tenacious player on the pitch, and it sounds as though that level of aggression carries over to the training ground, with both players claiming that they’ve been snapped by him in training.
What’s been said?
The youngsters were being asked a number of questions about Spurs and their teammates, and one question was about being on the receiving end of a big tackle from a first-team player.
Predictably, both player said that Lamela had crunched them.
“What was the first big tackle you were on the receiving end for from a first-team player,” The players were asked.
“To be fair, when you first come up in boxes and Coco is just tearing around, yeah Coco for me,” Skipp said.
“Coco for you as well? Yeah it’s Coco for me too,” Scarlett said.
No surprise there
It’s not shocking to hear that Lamela has been going in hard on both players.
The Argentine only has one gear, and it’s ‘go’.
The winger is an absolute dynamo, he plays aggressively and he has that South American fight that you so often associate with players from that part of the world.
Sadly for Skipp and Scarlett, they’ve been on the receiving end of his tackles, and we certainly don’t envy any player that has Lamela flying at them.
