Some West Ham United supporters have been drooling over Conor Coventry after his performance against Reading in pre-season.
The midfielder put on a real show against the Royals, absolutely running the game as the Hammers ran out 3-0 winners.
West Ham have a fantastic midfield at the moment with Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek acting as one of the best partnerships in England, but Coventry could disrupt that pairing in the near future.
Indeed, Hammers fans have high hopes for the 21-year-old, with some supporters stating that he could be their Declan Rice replacement if he ever moves on, while others claimed that he could be the new Mark Noble, with the West Ham captain set to retire at the end of this season.
What the future holds for Coventry remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, Hammers fans think he’s got the world at his feet.
Here’s what West Ham supporters have been saying on social media…

In about a seasons time, Mark Noble and Declan rice probably both won’t be here.
Calling it now, that Conor Coventry is the new Mark Noble, and Jamal Baptise is the new Declan Rice.
