The launch date and release time for The Sims 4 Cottage Living is imminent. Its price is pretty hefty, but there is a limited-time bonus available to those who pre-order or at least buy the expansion before September 2nd.

EA has released plenty of exciting expansions during the game’s lifespan such as Paranormal Stuff Pack and Snowy Escape. There have also been bizarre crossovers such as Star Wars and a clear rip-off of Harry Potter. However, the forthcoming rural countryside expansion is one of the most exciting due to the arrival of wild foxes and other cute creatures to become friends with.

There’s also a farming aspect with players able to grow their own food, and this also comes with a fierce Finchwick Fair competition to see who has the biggest crops.

What time does The Sims 4 Cottage Living come out?

The release date and time for when The Sims 4 Cottage Living will come out is 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, and 18:00 BST on July 22nd for PC and Xbox.

These hours come courtesy of the Steam, Origin, and Microsoft store, whereas the PSN suggests it will launch at 00:00 BST instead. Just in case it needs saying, you need to own the base game as well to play the DLC.

The Sims 4 Cottage Living price

Electronic Arts’ price for The Sims 4 Cottage Living is £34.99 on all platforms, but it is £31.49 instead if you are subscribed to EA Play.

Next to Stardew Valley as the happiest rural village in video games, the DLC takes place in a happy-go-lucky area named Henford-on-Bagley. It’s basically a cosy place where everyone is friendly and knows each other’s names.

There is a town to explore as well as animals to love, and there’s also a pub for you to hang out with everyone like in an everyday episode of Emmerdale.

Pre-order bonus

The pre-order bonus is the Gnome on the Go digital package. This comes with the following items:

  • Scenic commuting bicycle
  • ‘Onward’ the adventurous gnome
  • Bramblewood’s deLIGHTful tree

The first is a bike to scoot around in like the Wizard of Oz witch, meanwhile, Bramblewood’s deLIGHTful is a tree covered in lights. And the gnome is just ugly garden furniture involving a chicken.

Although marketed as a pre-order bonus, the set is available to anyone who buys the expansion before September 2nd.
