Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, movie releases have been impacted like never before over the past year with films having to move online or delay their release date.
Despite the new landscape, films have still found their way onto our screens and Mark Wahlberg’s latest effort, Joe Bell, is the newest arrival.

Release date and plot
Joe Bell arrives on screens in the US on July 23rd, 2021 while elsewhere around the world, no other release dates have been announced at the time of writing.
Starring Mark Wahlberg and Reid Miller, the film tells the heart-wrenching true story of Joe Bell, an Oregonian father who pays tribute to his gay teenage son, Jadin.
Following Jadin’s tragic suicide, Joe embarks on a reflective walk across America to explore the events and the toxic bullying that led to his son’s death.

As well as being released in cinemas, Joe Bell will also be released digitally courtesy of Vertical Entertainment although no release date has been announced just yet.
Pre-pandemic, films often had a 90-day exclusive run in theatres before their home releases but that has not been the case in recent months so Joe Bell could arrive on digital platforms sooner rather than later.
